Raleigh Radon.
Raleigh Radon is a locally-owned company providing radon testing and radon mitigation services to Triangle, NC residents. With radon being the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, we are dedicated to improving lung cancer prevention and awareness.
Who we are.
Raleigh Radon is co-owned by Jim Suchy and his daughter, Lindsay Suchy.
Jim has been in the residential construction business since his first summer job as a carpenter at age 16. After earning a degree in Civil Engineering from NCSU, he spent years building custom homes throughout the Triangle, NC area. Utilizing his experience as a custom home builder and general contractor, he went on to earn his North Carolina Home Inspector license.
As part of his inspection services, Jim began conducting radon tests in 1997. As radon awareness increased, more and more Triangle residents began testing their homes for radon and installing radon mitigation systems. Having performed thousands of home inspections and seeing many improperly-installed mitigation systems, Jim saw the need for a reliable, customer-focused radon company.
Although many home inspectors were conducting radon tests, not many were certified to do so, and even fewer provided mitigation services. To fill this gap, Jim and Lindsay Suchy founded Raleigh Radon - a full-service radon testing and mitigation company.

Our Philosophy.
Because Raleigh Radon was born out of the home inspection and real estate industries, our strength is understanding our customers. We want all Triangle home owners and home buyers to understand the health implications of radon exposure and also understand how simple it is to "fix" radon problems.
Our goal is to make the radon testing and mitigation process as easy, convenient, and educational as possible. We strive to meet our customers' needs by being flexible in our scheduling, testing, and payment processes. We can often conduct radon tests and mitigation estimates the same day you contact us, and thanks to our MLS subscription, we can access properties without agents, sellers, or builders having to be present.
Part of sustainable business philosophy is maximizing customer satisfaction. If a customer is ever unhappy with our services, we would like to know as soon as possible. We will act quickly to resolve the situation, even if that means refunding payments or performing additional services at no charge.
Not only do we want to educate our customers about radon, we want to increase awareness in our local community. We are always looking to be involved with charitable organizations and educational opportunities - please contact us if you have any suggestions!

Unfortunately, there is no regulation of radon service providers in North Carolina. However, our experience and certifications make us well-qualified to provide reliable radon testing services and guaranteed-effective mitigation installations.
